On October 23, at the “14th Five‑Year Plan” achievements conference, Ningxia reported its main successes in dealing with population aging.

The number of permanent residents aged 60 and over has risen to 1.16 million, making up 15.9 % of the population.
By strengthening a three‑tier service network (county, township, village) and launching a series of measures, the region has achieved:
- 90.2 % coverage of daytime community care centers.
- 60.5 % coverage of comprehensive township (street) elder‑care service centers.
- 45.2 % coverage of village‑level elder‑care stations.
